Guess what happened with pizza recently? A place outside of Italy—and not even close to Naples—was ranked as the world’s #1 pizza spot! Time Out, a well-known British company that writes about cool experiences, did something extraordinary: they tested pizza places all over the world. Their team of pizza experts compiled a list of the top 50 places to eat pizza in 2025. If someone had said in the past that the best pizza wouldn’t come from Italy, people would’ve laughed at them!

The absolute best pizza places have been ranked for 2025! You know how pizza varies depending on where you go—each country adds its unique twists with creative toppings and special dough that matches local tastes? Finding the number one pizza spot is tricky because there are so many amazing options worldwide.


But Time Out went ahead and did it anyway! And guess what? The top spot went to a place in Manhattan called Una Pizza Napoletana. It’s ironic since it’s not even in Italy, where pizza originated! The owner keeps things incredibly simple—using basic toppings but high-quality, fancy ingredients.

Although America claimed the top spot (and had eight other places make the list!), Italy is far from being left out. Two fantastic Italian pizzerias tied for second place, and 21 other Italian spots also made it into the top 50! That’s nearly half the list, which isn’t surprising when you think about Italy’s deep pizza heritage.
